On the field, Aaron Rodgers is cool, calm, collected and just about any other adjective starting with C that you can think of. Conductor?
Off the field, well, he’s basically the same - and a major music fan to boot. So much so, he co-founded his own music label Suspended Sunrise Recordings in 2008 with friend Zachary Ryan, and has signed two acts to the burgeoning label.
Rodgers’s multifaceted musical tastes are as diverse as they are precise. It ranges from country, to alternative pop rock (such as the acts Anberlin and Joy in Tomorrow, signed to the indie label), among others.
Rodgers is also a self-taught guitarist whose playlist runs from Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder to Ryan Adams.
“I’m definitely into singer/songwriters, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Pete Murray,” Rodgers told USA Today. “We came up with the name Suspended Sunrise because when you think of a sunrise, it’s suspended in air, suspended in time. It’s a cool image because it represents the beginning of a new day. Anything can happen.”
